American Idol 2's Kimberly Caldwell has signed to Vanguard Records. According to USA Today, Kimberly Caldwell's debut album is expected to be released in early 2010. Kimberly Caldwell is thrilled to join Vanguard Records. As she explains, "music is my first love so I'm beyond excited to release my debut album and it's such an honor to get to do so alongside the amazing artists who call Vanguard home."
Kimberly Caldwell Now Signed to Vanguard Records: Life and Career
Kimberly Caldwell, 27, is a native of Katy, Texas. She is of French and Native American descent. Kimberly Caldwell began singing at age 5, later winning the junior vocalist competition on Star Search, performing at the Grand Ole Opry, and performing at George W. and Laura Bush's 50th wedding anniversary.
Kimberly Caldwell is most famous for her appearance on American Idol 2, where she finished seventh. Her raspy voice is best suited for pop rock. Since American Idol, she has worked as a TV Guide correspondent and as a correspondent on 54321 on FOX Sports Network. In January 2009, she began hosting a new MTV show P. Diddy's Starmaker.
Kimberly Caldwell has also been romantically linked to American Idol 7's David Cook. In May 2008, David Cook had asked her on a date while on the red carpet. Although rumors surfaced of their engagement in December 2008, Kimberly Cadlwell's publicist confirmed in January 2009 that the couple had broken up.
