American Idol's Justin Guarini Marches Down the Aisle

Surrounded by family and close friends, Justin Guarini married Reina Capodici at a private estate in his hometown of Doylestown, Penn., early Saturday evening, Guarini's rep Jeff Ballard confirms exclusively to PEOPLE.

Guarini, 30, the runner-up to Kelly Clarkson in the first season of American Idol, and his new bride, 27, attended high school together but only started dating after reconnecting in the past few years.

The intimate wedding was presided over by a female minister from the Universalist Church and included vows the couple wrote themselves. Guarini's stepdaughter Lola, 4, spoke during the ceremony. Music by Radiohead, Paramore and Peter Gabriel was performed by the Vitamin String Quartet.

"Justin is one of the most deserving people of happiness and love," Kimberly Caldwell, Guarini's co-host on the TV Guide Network's Idol Tonight, tells PEOPLE. "I know he will be an amazing hubby."

The couple were engaged in December while Guarini was at Disney's EPCOT Center filming for the American Idol Experience ride at the Orlando theme park.

Guarini plans to return to the recording studio this winter to write and record his third CD.

Justin Guarini, runner-up to Kelly Clarkson in Season One of "American Idol," is getting married this Saturday, Sept. 26, to his fiancée Reina Capodici, 27, of Doylestown, PA, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

The couple have known each other since high school but only started dating a couple of years ago.

Capodici has a four year old daughter, Lola, from a prior relationship.

"I've traveled all over the world but I found the woman I love right in my own backyard," Justin, 30, told RadarOnline.com.

"I've known Reina since I was 15 but we didn't actually start dating until two years ago.

"Her mother was my English teacher in junior high school!"

Justin and Reina decided to get married in December of last year, when Justin was at Disney's EPCOT Center in the U.K. filming the "hosting clips" for the "American Idol Experience" ride.

"I asked Reina to marry me after the fireworks show in a little private grotto there," he said. "It was very romantic!"

The wedding is "an intimate family wedding" and will be held at "a beautiful private estate along the Delaware River" not far from their families' homes in Pennsylvania.

"We won't have traditional wedding music," Justin said. "We'll have special arrangements by the Vitamin String Quartet of songs that mean a lot to us, by artists like Radiohead, Paramore and Peter Gabriel."

Justin also told RadarOnline that he and Reina have written their own vows for the "spiritual" service.

"A female minister of the Universal Church will be presiding over the ceremony and Reina and I have picked out what we want to say," said Justin.

"For instance, we'll have some readings from Khlail Gibran on love.

"We're blending a lot of different traditions because my bride-to-be is Syrian and Italian and I'm black and Italian."

"There will be a little something for everyone," Justin laughed.

"I'll not only be exchanging vows with my wife, but our little girl, Lola, as well!"

Guests will be served their choice of filet mignon or salmon.

Recently, Justin covered the Emmy Awards as a host for the TV Guide Channel.

He's also been doing a sketch comedy show for sketchedouttv.com and, this winter, Justin plans to write and record his third CD.

It was apparently better late than never for Lakisha Jones.

The former American Idol sixth-season finalist and her husband Larry Davis have welcomed their first child together.

"Baby Ava LaRynn has been born !!" Jones announced in a Wednesday post on her Twitter account. "She was late but so worth the wait."

Ava LaRynn -- who was due in August -- is Jones' second child, as she already has 6-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.

"At home getting back into baby mode, it's been 6yrs," Jones added on her Twitter page.

Jones and Davis wed last October at the Beverly Wilkshire Hotel. She subsequently confirmed in May that she was pregnant with her second child and first with Davis.

The 29-year-old Jones finished fourth during Idol's Spring 2007 sixth season.

AI_NEWS~ Ellen new American Idol Judge

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Ellen DeGeneres is the new full-time judge on "American Idol."

The TV talk show host announced the news during a taping of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Wednesday that she is the new "Idol" judge, filling a seat left vacant by Paula Abdul, who chose not to return to the show last month.

"I have a big announcement to make. No one knows this. I just finally got the OK … just moments ago to announce this to you today…I am going to be the new judge on 'American Idol,'" Ellen told her audience on Wednesday afternoon, for her show which will air on Thursday.

Although Ellen is known for being one of the funniest ladies on television, the news was no joke, as the announcement was confirmed to Access Hollywood by a rep for FOX.

"I could not be more excited to have Ellen join the 'American Idol' family," Simon Fuller, the show's creator and executive producer, said in a statement issued to Access Hollywood. "Ellen has been a fan of the show for many years, and her love of music and understanding of the American public will bring a unique human touch to our judging panel. I can't wait for this next season to begin."

However, Ellen will remain the host of her talk show, she promised her audience.

"I'm not leaving here. Don't worry about that. I'm going to have a day job and a night job," she said. "The times we're living… in we're all doing that."

Ellen called her additional job "exciting" and explained that her judging credentials are accentuated by the fact she has watched the show – which begins its ninth season in January – since it began on FOX.

"I don't know how it happened myself but I have not missed one episode of that show. I've watched every single thing," she said. "I love everything about it and I love music, as you know. Hopefully I'm the people's point of view because I'm just like you. I sit at home and I watch it and I don't have that technical… I'm not looking at it in a critical way from the producer's mind. I m looking at it as a person who is going to buy the music and is going to relate to that person. So I'm hopefully going to be that voice of what we're all doing at home."

"American Idol's" Executive Producer Cecile Frot-Coutaz said in a statement to Access Hollywood the show is thrilled to have Ellen on board.

"We're all delighted to have Ellen join our ninth season of 'American Idol,'" she said. "Beyond her incredible sense of humor and love of music, she brings with her an immense warmth and compassion that is almost palpable. She is one of America's foremost entertainers, and we cannot wait to have her join our team."

American Idol sixth-season runner-up Blake Lewis will be having his cd release party in Los Angeles. Lewis will be performing live October 8 at The Roxy on Sunset. Lewis has recently announced the October 6 release of his sophomore album, titled "Heartbreak on Vinyl."

This will be his first Cd with Tommy Boy Entertainment. Lewis worked with producers Rodney Jerkins and Dave Aude on this album.

The music in the dance scene gets me out onto the dance floor to lose my inhibition," Lewis told People. "The title is an ode to all the record stores that have been closing down due to my industry eating itself. These are the stores that brought inspiration to all of us music lovers and have led me to make the music I create today."

Tickets are on sale now for $ 16.50.
