"American Idol" finalist Adam Lambert has been taken off the "Good Morning America" schedule.
Apparently those 1500 complaints about Lambert's performance at the American Music Awards were enough to scare off "Good Morning America." Lambert was slated to perform on Wednesday, Nov. 25 but the concert has been canceled. No word as to any sort of rescheduling.
A spokesperson for ABC News says, "Given his controversial live performance on the AMAs, we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning." Lambert previous appeared on "Good Morning America" as part of their summer concert series.
Considering how many people watched the AMAs, 1500 complaints isn't really that many. It's less than 1% of what CBS received after the Janet Jackson boob incident. This seems a little extreme to us. ABC could easily have just asked him to tone it down (which he probably was going to do anyway for a morning show).
