Memphis Community Celebrates "American Idol" Finalist Lil Rounds

Description: The Memphis community will celebrate "American Idol" finalist Lil Rounds May 25 at Handy Park on Beale Street. The free event will start at 3:30 p.m. with a performance from the Navy rock band Freedom. At 4 p.m. activities will continue with a parade from Fourth Street to Handy Park with Lil Rounds and the Millennium Madness Drill Team and special presentations from city and county government, the Memphis Music Commission, Beale Street, Memphis Rock N Soul Museum and Memphis Music Foundation.
The Lil Rounds community celebration is a family event. Lil will be signing autographs and taking pictures with fans afterwards.
Lil Rounds is the Memphis finalist from "American Idol." She advanced to the top seven in the popular television program. She will be part of the Idol summer tour, which will visit the FedEx Forum on July 26.
